MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT GMSMy Dear Brothers and Sisters,Jai Mohyal![]() I hope all my Mohyal brothers and sisters are in good health. I extend my heartfelt wishes to you all on the auspicious occasions of Navratri, Ram Navami, and Baisakhi. May these festivals bring joy, prosperity, and strength to our community. It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of Shri Joginder Pal Mehta (J P Mehta Ji) President of MS Ambala City and Member of the GMS Managing Committee, who left for his heavenly abode on 8th March 2025. His departure is a profound loss to the Mohyal community. For 32 years, he led Mohyal Sabha Ambala City as a President, a testament to the Trust and Admiration he enjoyed. His dedication to the welfare of Mohyals was unwavering. As per his wishes, his family displayed immense selflessness by donating his mortal remains to PGI Chandigarh on the same day, a noble act carried out by his son, Shri Sandeep Mehta.Shri J P Mehta ji was a true Mohyal stalwart, a Son of the Soil whose life was devoted to uplifting the Community. I fondly recall how he always made it a point to honor me at every Mohyal Sabha function, no matter how small. If I was unavailable, he would postpone the event rather than hold it without me. His commitment was unwavering — not just to the Mohyals of Ambala but to all Mohyals in need.Whenever we held a Mohyal Sabha function in Khanna, he would ensure that Mohyals from Ambala attended in full strength. He constantly urged the elite and privileged members of our community to extend their support to the underprivileged Mohyals of his region. His dedication was also evident in the completion of the Mohyal Bhawan, Ambala, in record time.Beyond our community, his influence and goodwill extended far and wide. He even invited me as a Guest of Honour at an Air Force function, a gesture that reflected his immense respect and regard. His last rites bore witness to the legacy he leaves behind. Mohyals and non-Mohyals alike gathered in large numbers, mourning the loss of a truly humble and selfless soul. The hall was overflowing with people whose hearts he had touched — a true measure of his impact on those around him.Shri Joginder Pal Mehta’s life was a shining example of service, dedication, and brotherhood. While his physical presence will be missed, his spirit and values will continue to guide us. May his noble soul attain Moksha.May we all try to do our bit for our Community, and uplift the needy and underprivileged members of our Community so that they can live with dignity.Wishing good health and happiness to each one of you.Yours affectionately,
